Happy First Birthday FOUR London

FOUR London - Mayfair's newest Colour Specialist Salon recently celebrated their first birthday in style. They hosted a party at their beautiful premises which was attended by their loyal clients, which include Nigella Lawson, Yasmin Le Bon, Sally Morgan and Lizzie Cundy, who all came along to show their support and to enjoy a champagne and canapes reception.  

Gorgeous Star PR is delighted to work with FOUR London and their resident therapist and highly trained skincare expert, Marie Reynolds from beauty company, Eve Taylor. Hayley went along to join in the celebrations.

Goody bags were given to guests at the party containing gifts from Wella, Yardley, Eve Taylor, Tangle Teezer, Dr. Duve Skincare, HD Brows, Collagen Gold and WonderfulHair Extensions. Special balloons inside the salon also had raffle ticket prizes hidden inside.

Imagine Spa Launch in Closer Magazine

Closer journalist Katie Banks attended the launch of the new Imagine Spa at The Hilton Hotel Heathrow Terminal 5, on November 11th and mingled with our celebrity guests including, Nicola McClean, Michelle Heaton, Lauren Pope, Lauren Goodger and Vanessa Feltz!

All of our special guests enjoyed a champagne reception, mini spa
treatments, gorgeous food and stayed overnight at the 5 star hotel.
The next day everyone made the most of the luxurious Imagine Spa  facilities.

JIAN LONDON JOINS GORGEOUS STAR PR

For as long as I can remember I have always loved beautiful jewellery. Before I was old enough to buy my own, I used to raid my mum's jewellery box, trying on all her rings and other pieces which were far too big for me at the time, but I didn't care, it was a real treat! It's probably not surprising that as a student I worked in Accessorize, an absolute treasure trove, for people like me! My first job after leaving university was with the UK's biggest jewellery buying office, working for some of the most popular fashion jewellery brands on the high street. Whilst my career path gradually progressed into PR and Marketing, my love of fashion and jewellery has come along with me, and when setting up Gorgeous Star PR, I very much wanted to represent clients within these industries that I feel so passionate about.

Award Win for Gorgeous Star PR

With great pride I can announce that Gorgeous Star PR won 'Best Start up Business' in the Anglian Business Awards 2011.

The awards, organised by the East Anglian Daily Times for the 14th year running and supported by Choose Suffolk as main sponsor, were announced at a gala dinner ceremony at Trinity Park, Ipswich, hosted by BBC television and radio presenter John Humphrys on July 7th 2011.

The judges commented that this years entries had been the highest standard to date, so I feel incredibly proud and appreciative to have been given this prestigious award. The other businesses within my category were all fantastic and I am sure it was a challenge for the judges to choose between us.

Over 300 people attended the event, and it was lovely to see so many members of the local business community coming together to celebrate such achievements.

I would like to say a big thank you to the event organisers and sponsors for putting together such a brilliant event, and well done to all the other award winners and finalists!

Shortlisted for an Anglian Business Award

I am delighted to announce that Gorgeous Star PR has been shortlisted for an Anglian Business Award in the category of best Start up Business of the year- 2011.

I am really honoured to have been shortlisted and am really looking forward to attending the awards dinner which will be hosted by BBC Radio 4’s John Humphrys at Trinty Park in Ipswich on July 7th. I am sure the evening will be a truly fantastic event, and it will be lovely to meet the other people who have been shortlisted and find out more their businesses.

I appreciate the opportunity to enter into such awards, as it is a wonderful celebration to join together with other business owners in the region and recognise what everyone has achieved, despite the challenging economic climate- it goes to show that it is not all doom and gloom, and that if you take the leap, and are prepared to work really hard, you can create a successful and fulfilling business.

It's also a great excuse to buy a new dress!!!

Harry Potter Star Enjoys Magical Spa Experience

I have been so busy latesly that it has taken a while to update my blog, but lot's of exciting things have been happening, so it's time to fill you in.

I am really passionate about the spas I work with and I love organising celebrity spa visits, I only partner with the best spas in the UK that I can personally recommend, so I always know my celebrity contacts will have the best possible spa experience!

SK Clinic + Spa, is a boutique chic day spa located in the heart of historic Bury St Edmunds, and have previously looked after celebrities including, Jodie Kidd, Kate Walsh and Alexandra Burke.

Over the Easter weekend SK Clinic added another celebrity guest to their list, after a visit from Harry Potter film star, Tom Felton.

Tom is most famously known for his portrayal of Draco Malfoy, from the film series based on the internationally acclaimed Harry Potter books. Tom and his girlfriend, model and actress, Jade Olivia, took time out of their busy schedules to enjoy a range of relaxing and therapeutic treatments at SK Clinic.

They were visiting Suffolk for the weekend to celebrate Jade’s 25th birthday in style. They really are one of the lovelist couples I have ever met, and it was such a privledge to spend some time with them.

Both Tom and Jade enjoy spending time at spas, but do struggle to find the time to relax as they are both very busy with work commitments, so it was a pleasure to organise this relaxing break for them.

As part of their weekend away, Tom and Jade stayed at the beautiful hotel, Ravenwood Hall.

On the second evening of their stay, Tom and Jade took a trip to Ravenwood Hall’s sister hotel, The Black Lion, in nearby Long Melford to enjoy a sumptuous three course meal prepared by the hotels newly appointed Head Chef Murdo Macritchie.

Tom will be a firm fixture in cinemas this summer with the release of two epic films, the highly anticipated “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2," the 3-D conclusion to the Harry Potter series released on July 15^th. Then on August 5th, Tom also stars in "Rise of the Planet of the Apes."

During their time spent at SK, Tom and Jade enjoyed a variety of different professional spa treatments, including relaxing body and Indian head massages, rejuvenating facials and healing reflexology. The Vanessa Show- TOWIE Debate

After two appearances as a sofa surfer on The Vanessa Show, I was delighted to be invited back by the producers to have a guest appearance with Vanessa, journalist Andy Jones, broadcaster, Emma Forbes and Buck Fizz legend, Cheryl Baker, discussing The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE) TV debate...why do some many people love it, what does it say about our society?

Journalist Andy Jones and Emma Forbes had the opposite opinion to me and went as far as saying that it was damaging for young people to tune in. For me, I really enjoy the show and can see that all the cast are having the time of their lives and it has opened up many great opportunities for them. It is easy to make sweeping statements, about a lack of intelligence, but as I pointed out many of the people in the show have their own businesses, showing drive and ambition.

I love my job, but as anyone running their own business will tell you, it can be stressful and the hours are long, so it can be nice to watch a show that is light hearted entertainment and that can take you away from the stresses of every day life.

Having been lucky enough to meet some of the cast members, I can genuinely say that they have all be very switched on, really down to earth, lovely people, so I am proud to have been sticking up for them in this debate.

Whilst Vanessa stays neutral on the panel, I asked for her thoughts after the show and she admitted to having watched several episodes and actually thinks it's quite fun! The lovely Ben Ofoedu was on my wave length too, so great to know I am not alone!

In the greenroom after the show I was also fortunate enough to meet the national treasure Lynda Bellingham. Such a lovely warm lady who looked fantastic, and we had a great chat and there may even be opportunities to work together in future- so watch this space!
