DANCING ON ICE STAR GIVES LIFEHOUSE TOP MARKS

Word has quickly spread that my new spa client, Lifehouse in Thorpe Le Soken, Essex is the place to be for totally relaxation and pampering.

Within the first week of official opening, Konnie Huq spent a couple of days at the spa just before the new year and had an amazing time. Just a couple of weeks later, Konnie's close friend and former Blue Peter presenter, Zoe Salmon also took a trip to the hottest spa in Essex.

Zoe, a former solicitor and Miss Northern Ireland beauty queen, first graced our screens in 2004 when she was chosen from thousands of applicants to be the new presenter of popular children’s television show, Blue Peter. After three and a half years on the show, Zoe went on to take part in the forth series of Dancing on Ice, reaching the quarter-finals. Since then, Zoe’s TV career has gone from strength to strength, with 2011 set to be her busiest year to date. In her spare time Zoe likes nothing more than chilling out at home, cooking and catching up on her favourite TV programmes but has also described spending time in the spa as an essential part of her life!

In a rare break from her busy schedule Zoe took the short trip from her home in London to experience the new Lifehouse spa she had heard so much about.

“ Now I have been to Lifehouse, I will never want to go back to a hotel with a spa attached, as my time here has shown me what a proper spa weekend is all about. I love how you can spend the entire time in your robe and slippers, it’s just the perfect place for relaxation and it’s also been really fun. I have had such a brilliant time that I don’t want to leave, I will cry when I have to go home, I wish I could live here!”

During her time at Lifehouse Zoe enjoyed a range of luxurious spa treatments, but particularly felt the benefits of her facial, “I have to wear a lot of make-up for work, so it was really nice to have a day off and let my skin breathe. I am always travelling on planes which really dehydrates my skin, but the Lifehouse facial has really made my skin feel fabulous again.”

In 2009 Zoe was a contestant in the ITV series ‘Dancing on Ice’ where she reached the quarter finals, but is now enjoying watching the show and cheering on one of her close friends. “The show is brilliant, when I was taking part I loved every minute of it and I was the fittest I have ever been in my life. My friend Jeff Brazier is taking part this year, so I am really cheering him on to win!

The year ahead is set to be very busy for Zoe, her dating show on Fiver, ‘The Love Bus,’ has just returned to our screens and she has recently taken part in an expose on the health food industry for BBC Three. With such a busy work life, Zoe can really appreciate the importance of taking time out to unwind and escape from life in the city. “It is incredibly serene at Lifehouse, the grounds are beautiful, but it is also somewhere really fun. If anyone thinks spa days are dull, they should definitely stay at Lifehouse, it will change their minds! I am glad Lifehouse is easily accessible from London as I can’t wait to come back. I will certainly be recommending Lifehouse to all my family and friends and buying them gift vouchers for presents.”
